Birmingham Tech joins the UK Tech Cluster Group - the group that work with & understand geographical clusters of tech & digital businesses.

Birmingham based FinTech PM Connect have announced a landmark deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA), to provide mobile payments for the new NBA League Pass subscription service.

The West Midlands has today (Monday 19 April 2021) cemented its place as a strategically significant hub for levelling up FinTech in the UK with its appointment to the FinTech National Network – the UK’s first network connecting FinTech hubs and supporting nationwide financial innovation.

The West Midlands has become the first region globally to invest in latest ‘no-code’ technology to help drive economic growth. SuperTech, a collaboration between some of the region’s largest, well-established businesses and emerging technology companies, aims to increase the rate of tech development and adoption in professional services, with fully-funded no-code training bootcamps forming part of its central offering.

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, William Russell, will today [4th March 2021] start a virtual visit to Birmingham to deepen the partnership between the two cities and harness the full potential of the growing ‘SuperTech’ cluster in the West Midlands – the first financial and professional services technology supercluster in the UK.
